Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon Extra-Thin Openworked is a See-Through Stunner

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch is already a distinctive timepiece, but the designers at the 141-year-old Swiss firm simply couldn’t leave well enough alone…so they put it on a diet! The Royal Oak Tourbillon Extra-Thin Openworked is, as the name suggests, exceptionally slim, with an 18-karat yellow gold case measuring just 8.95 millimeters (or 0.35”) thick. The innermost workings of the hand-wound, 216 piece movement are on display for all to see, but definitely not for all to wear, as it is priced at about $241,000. A thin watch to make your wallet thin? Well played…
