Aston Martin Vantage S Red Bull Racing Edition Charges onto the Scene

Special edition cars celebrating a manufacturer’s tie up with a particular racing team or driver are nothing new. However, for Aston Martin, there isn’t really a history of such models…until now. In celebration of the fabled British brand’s ties to the Red Bull Formula 1 team as a sponsor (and the fact that Red Bull F1’s god-among-designers Adrian Newey and his technical team will be helping shape Aston Martin’s AM-RB 001 hypercar), the company is releasing the V8 Vantage S Red Bull Racing Edition coupe.

The Mariana Blue or Tungsten Silver exteriors and your choice of red or yellow accents for the grille and side vents (along with liberal use of unpainted carbon fiber) provide a strong outwardly visible connection to the don’t-call-it-a-Renault-powered grand prix cars produced in Milton Keynes, while the interior features more carbon fiber trim and Red Bull Racing logos embroidered on the seats add some interior flair. And if you want an even stronger connection to the four-time World Constructors Champion organization, you can spend some extra dosh to get either of the team’s two current drivers, Daniel Ricciardo or Max Verstappen, to apply his signature to the door sill and final inspection plates. Some might say that’s a waste of money but, considering the young Aussie and even younger Dutchman are two of the brightest and most exciting talents in the series today, it might end up looking liking a smart investment down the road…
