Aspec PPM 500 is More Moxie for the Maserati Ghibli [w/ Video]
China’s new car market may be booming like nobody’s business, but we don’t seem to hear of very many tuners over there. That’s not to say, however, that they don’t exist; for starters, there’s Aspec, a tuner that caused a sensation earlier this year when it revealed stylish, 400 horsepower revamp of the latest Volkswagen Golf R. Now it has turned its attention to a decidedly more white-collar car, the new Maserati Ghibli.
Dubbed PPM 500 (Hold the super-easy lead/melamine jokes, please…), this carbon fiber body kit features new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, a vented hood and a rear spoiler. There’s also a carbon fiber grille insert with mounting holes for the stock Maserati Trident badge, and Aspec also makes a killer set of alloy wheels finished in gunmetal gray and upgraded brakes with branded calipers. Looks like mid-size Maser sedan buyers wanting to individualize their rides have another appealing arrow in their customizing quiver, and that’s definitely okay by us.
