Apple Watches Customized by Goldgenie are Binary Bling
Now that Apple has added watches to its product lineup, it shouldn’t come as a massive surprise that quite a few people are interested in these computerized timepieces. However, for some well-heeled watch buffs, even the top-of-the-line $17,000 Apple Watch comes across as a bit “Blah.” However, the Apple watches customized by Goldgenie have panache to go with all that processing power.
As is the case with the company’s other gold-plated and bejeweled electronics, Goldgenie takes the stock device and covers its exterior in gold plating of various shades and quality levels (in this case up to 18 karat). However, it also offers a range of encrusting options with diamonds and other gemstones, as well as swapping out the bands for calf leather, crocodile skin and python skin(!) replacements.
Naturally, these alterations to the stock Apple Watch won’t come cheap: The least-spendy version will set you back $3,000, while the top-of-the-line model – which is absolutely covered in diamonds – commands a scarcely-believable $163,000. Apparently, this is how the other half lives, or rather, will live once Goldgenie opens the order books this Thursday.
