2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo is Just Dreamy

Remember how Porsche rolled out a wagon version of the Panamera called the Sport Turismo back in March? And how there was no indication at the time that they’d be offering it in kooky-fast Turbo S E-Hybrid form like they do the regular 5-door sedan/hatch body style? Well, turns out we needn’t have fretted, because the 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo is going to be a thing, and it’s going to be glorious.

Check it: The same combined 680 horsepower and 627 lb.-ft of torque from the same 4.0L twin-turbo V8 and electric motor as the fastback Turbo S E-Hybrid, yielding the same claimed performance figures (0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds and a 192 mph top speed) and all-electric range from a full charge (31 miles). But there’s the added bonus of three-across rear seating (though Porsche will happily build you one with the hatchback’s individual rear chairs and king size console) and 45.7 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded.

Honestly, for a starting MSRP of $189,450 with destination (exactly $4,000 more than the standard wheelbase hatch), we can’t think of a more appealing “sensible” car on the planet. Look for U.S. deliveries to begin sometime in the spring.
