2017 Bentley Continental GT Speed is a Tuxedo Track Suit
You might no associate the name Bentley with the term “muscle car,” but the British brand’s Continental GT Speed, with its sharpened chassis tuning and added thrust from the force-fed W12 under the bonnet, is about as close as the average plutocrat will get to a Motown-style stoplight grand prix pugilist. And for the 2017 model year, Bentley its resident super coupe even more super. Power and torque from the 6.0L twin-turbo W12 are both up slightly over the outgoing Continental GT Speed (to totals of 633 horsepower and 619 lb.-ft), and the 0-60 mph time is a little lower (3.9 seconds versus four flat).
There has also been a shuffling of the color and trim options, including the addition of a Continental GT Speed Black Edition, which features gloss black exterior trim and two-tone leather upholstery. Both the regular Speed and the Black Edition – offered in coupe and convertible body styles – are available for order right now, with deliveries set to commence sometime this summer.
