What if you could take the punching power of Mike Tyson and fit it into the body of Bruce Lee? That seems to be the motivation behind Koenigsegg's newest hypercar, the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera. Koenigsegg chose the 2010 Geneva Motor Show to display it's new creation, which was made as a celebration of the Swedish manufacturer's 15th anniversary.
Koenigsegg is calling it a new car, but it's really just an improvement on the CCX. And that's fine, because I thought the CCX was a great car. Classic supercar looks, eargasm soundtrack and performance nipping at a Veyron's heels.

Volvo has teamed up with award winning Swedish game studio SimBin Development Team to release Volvo - The Game, which will allow you to transform into one of five racing legends and take the wheel of various Volvo cars. The highlight, of course, is the new Volvo S60 Concept, which the company is actively promoting. There are some other standout models available including the Volvo C30, which is running in STCC this year, as well as the racing classic Volvo 240 Turbo Group A.

Typically, it has been the motorsport divisions from the car manufacturers that advance the new technology that eventually makes its way into production vehicles. Volvo is switching things around by using the same eco-friendly technology from their production cars to look for competitive advantages on the race track. Beginning in 2007, Volvo made the call to move over to E85 bioethanol fuel for all of its racers, becoming the first official brand in the world to make the transition.
The Volvo C30 is aimed squarely at first time Volvo buyers and the young, hipster crowd. Since I'm both young and hip (or so I like to think) and found the car to be pure joy to drive, I would have to say that Volvo definitely has done things right. It may appear that the C30 is a big departure from Volvo's typically boxy sedans, but the 2 door, 4 seat, front wheel drive hatchback is actually an updated version of the Volvo 480 that was popular in Europe in the mid 80's and early 90's.
The vehicle that we were provided was the 2009 Volvo C30 R-Design, the company's more sport and performance oriented variant. The R-Design has an assortment of both internal and external enhancements that separate it from its tamer brethren. Volvo's R-Design packages are available for their C30, S40 and V50 models and provide customers with an opportunity to personalize and accessorize their vehicles. We would very much like to see this line extended to include performance modifications such as those offered by Toyota's TRD line and Mercedes' AMG division.
Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg first showcased the CCX Edition back at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show to extensive fanfare. Fast forward three years and the Koenigsegg CCX Edition is back again with additional tweaks and technology upgrades. The car's 4.7-liter twin-supercharged V8 is capable of producing 888 hp at 7000 rpm with a top speed estimated at 259 mph.
The Koenigsegg CCXR Edition is the company's contribution to the green movement. The car can run on E85 biofuel, E100 ethanol fuel or standard octane. Surprisingly or unsurprisingly enough (depending on your understanding of biofuel), when running on E85, the CCXR puts out a whopping 1018 bhp versus 806 bhp on regular gas.
