Imagine the roaring engines, the squeal of the tyres, the concentration of the drivers, the screaming crowds, the searing heat and the amazing multi-million dollar F1 machines. This is Formula One, the most exciting time in sport each year and one which is now a multi-billion dollar industry. Drivers train for months beforehand to make sure they are in peak physical condition for the 300mph races in which they risk their life. F1 is technology at its best with F1 cars honed to perfection with over 80,000 components assembled so each nut and bolt is in exactly the right position.

The famous drivers and their equally famous cars compete for the top spot, one which they know will propel them to stardom and generate millions of dollars in their pay packet at the end of the season if they are successful. However, this comes with a price and one wrong move could see them out of the whole season, or worse, seriously injured or dead. In fact, F1 is a seriously dangerous sport, not just for the drivers but the pit stop teams and even the nearby crowds, but that is what makes it all the more exciting and an unforgettable experience. Check the graphic by (of all people) Ladbrokes Bingo below for a rundown of the new technology:

Senna Movie Poster

For the last 20 or so years, on the rarer-than-a-total-eclipse-of-a-blue-moon occasions that a motorsports-centric movie lands in theaters, viewing audiences have been subjected to at least a handful of the following tropes in any given flick: Laughably bad CGI. Laughably improbable crashes. Laughably obvious continuity goofs. Laughably appalling “acting.” Laughably clueless writing. And, most prolific of all, laughably formulaic and schmaltzy romance plots and subplots. In short, the Razzies selection committee is left with sore midriffs and a glut of nominees, while real racing fans are left searching for paper bags to place over their heads upon exiting the theater. Not good.

Thankfully, Senna – the documentary about three-time Formula 1 world champion Ayrton Senna – has none of these concerns, as it is a nonfiction film constructed entirely from archival footage and interviews from the proverbial “people who were there.” But this is hardly a “paint-by-numbers” documentary; there’s far more depth to it than that.

Every automaker attempts to find the perfect balance of performance and streetability. Whether it's a special trim level, like STI, Evolution or AMG, or just the brand as a whole (Porsche) companies know that enthusiasts want to be in something fast and fun every time they drive, even if it's to pick up milk. Some companies push the envelope of what's acceptable, like Toyota "sport tuning" a minivan, or in this case, Hulme calling the 2011 CanAm (pictured above) a road car.

Named after New Zealand's only F1 champion, Denny Hulme (1967), CanAm aims to bring the excitement of an F1 car to the street. Well, it does move on the road, so technically that counts. Make the jump to see the specs and find out the idea behind New Zealand's Hulme Supercars Ltd.

Cruden Hexatech F1 Simulator

The PS3 has awesome graphics and a growing library, the XBOX360 has the hot titles and a fantastic online experience, and the Wii has an active fun factor times 10. But what none of these systems can duplicate is the thrill of real racing. Sure, playing GranTurismo 5 and Forza 3 are a blast but they may just not be immersive enough for some folks. Even though Formula1 2009 on the Wii allows for a bit more involvement, turning a steering wheel in the air and screaming at everyone won't cut it for the real enthusiast.

What you need to do is man-up and cop the Cruden Hexatech IV racing simulator, a massive sit-in video game that delivers the complete exhilaration of whipping around  myriad courses at hyper-speeds. It even gives you convincing steering-wheel feedback and allows you to get a taste of actual G-Force.

Graham-London Brawn GP Limited Edition Watch

In the world of motorsports, your image is only as good as your watch sponsor. Well, not exactly, but basically the better the racing team, the more prestigious the timepiece. Ferrari is matched up with Panerai, McLaren is with TAG Heuer and Williams is cozy with Oris. Brawn GP has been an amazing standout this year and is in the lead to grab the Formula One championship title. So if you are blitzing the rest of the field you absolutely must have a watch sponsor that sets you apart from the competition as well. But unfortunately, this team has a rather barren sponsorship list. However, all things come in good time. Enter a new partnership with Graham-London that lets Brawn GP show everyone that they have officially arrived.
