In the ever-expanding world of the Internet, there are countless ways to explore your own talent. Clash Productions has made its name by putting together incredibly high-quality motorsport videos, lately putting together amazing drifting footage. Using a variety of special effects, stunning angles and synching the visuals with the perfect soundtrack, they have set the bar for internet car videos. Their newest offering, dubbed Vernal Equinox, is looking to push the boundaries a little further. A Vernal Equinox is the spring equinox, or simply something that only comes once a year.

Director Stephane Benini wanted to use drifting to tell a story, albeit a strange one. It reminds me of something M. Night Shamalan would enjoy. The drifting is top notch, with some incredible angles and settings. The silent story that plays throughout the 12 minute film is not your usual YouTube film, far from it. It's been clear that the people behind Clash have the eye, skills, and talent for projects beyond the automotive, and this video is an example of them reaching for new heights. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this video is a billionaire. The boys at AutoCar always provide an exemplary car review, but with this video of the new Ferrari 599 GTO they have outdone themselves. They quickly recognized that the sound of this car is more pleasurable to hear than any symphony or musician, "I've found a brand new instrument. It's called a Ferrari 599 GTO." That's not a total surprise considering a 661hp V-12 resides under the hood.

So, rather than write that down in an eloquent article (as we did here), forcing us to use our imaginations, they made it the star of this video. Host Steve Sutcliffe does everything with this Ferrari we would do; launching, highway pulls, and a run through the hills of Italy. We're constantly comparing cars here on Sub5zero. Be it a new coupe that we test against its predecessors, or a super sedan shootout, our quest to pit cars against each other and give you the honest word is never-ending. The new Audi S4 won our hearts enough to place in the Top 5 Sport Sedans with BMW's 550i and the Jaguar XFR, but what about against its own flesh and blood?

This week The Smoking Tire does just that. In a super-sedan shootout Matt and Craig take Audi's new light-weight 4 door coupe-slayer, the 2010 Audi S4, and pit it against its big brother, a 2007 Audi RS4. Like an annoying teenager, the S4 is younger, thinner and has more gadgets. But don't count the RS4 out just yet. With that big V8 up front that's deserving of a performance at Disney Concert Hall and famous "RS" suspension, it's got more weight behind its punches. By now we've all heard of the Porsche 918 Concept Design Study, or simply, the 918. The first true hybrid supercar made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, stealing the attention from anything else that bothered to show up. The site of naked Swedish supermodels would barely stand a chance against this car, so anything on 4 wheels may as well have folded from the get go. Porsche released a short video a few days later, but it was more of a CGI-created journey through time. It touted Porsche's 100 year old relationship with electric cars, using Ferdinand Porsche's hybrid of 1900 as the example. The new video does what Charlie Sheen's wives try to do, forget the past and look to the future.

The new video from Porsche plays like a dramartic sales pitch, or possibly the most beatiful PowerPoint presentation ever. The 918's amazing performance and efficiency stats are laid over amazing photography and action shots of the gorgeous supercar. And along with this video, Porsche has announced it is furthering production development. With a video that has you paying closer attention than you did in Sex-Ed class, Porsche doesn't have to worry about whether the car will sell or not. Time to buy a Lotto ticket. Here is the official NOS Energy Drink Drifting Commercial featuring Formula DRIFT champion Chris Forsberg.  The commercial debuted on the March 28 NASCAR broadcast and will air during select NASCAR broadcasts throughout the season. Watch as Chris and team go through an all-day practice session in his NOS Energy Drink Nissan 350Z Roadster.  

The actual stunt in the video showcases Chris’ skill level and overall car control as he hit the NOS Energy Drink bottle positioned within inches of the K-rail.  Oh, and he did it on the first take.  Chris will be defending his Formula DRIFT championship title this season beginning at Round 1: Streets of Long Beach on April 9-10. The 2011 McLaren MP4-12C was the center of attention when McLaren Automotive made their official announcement today as the latest supercar company to enter the fray. Not only did they release additional details on their first production car but they also released a video showcasing F1 aces Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button putting the car through its paces. 

This new two-seater from McLaren weighs only 2,866 pounds thanks to a compact frame and carbon composite monocoque. A 3.8-liter twin-turbo, jointly developed with Ricardo, delivers 592 bhp with 442 lb-ft of torque. The rev limit is a crazy high 8,500 rpm. With a 7-speed double clutch gearbox and F1-style rockers positioned behind the steering wheel, the car can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in the low 3 second range.

Last January, the Pagani Zonda R made its debut in Vienna. It was built to appease a 3-time Zonda owner who wanted something a little more track-oriented than the "normal" Zonda. Yeah, I always thought the 700hp,  RWD Zondas were a little soft (insert sarcastic eye roll). Well Pagani said ok, and built the 750hp Zonda R. 

Adding a more aggressive aerodynamic design, a flat belly pan, and stripping the interior, this car is made for the racetrack (and is not street legal). A little over a year later, Zonda, in partnership with Runimation Studios, has released a teaser video of the R. It has not one, but three Zonda Rs being driven on a race track. They didn't let a little rain spoil their fun, if anything it simply adds to the spectacle that is Zonda. Without having to appease the emissions people, these sound like F1 cars.  I can't wait to see what they do on a sunny day. Enjoy.  

We all know by now that the 2011 Lexus LFA is not only fantastic looking but a beast on any race track. Many of you have seen the Top Gear LFA test drive,  official production video from Lexus has been all over the net, and various magazines and media outlets have taken a stab at driving the LFA on enclosed courses.

But what we have yet to see is the Lexus LFA supercar doing its thing on public city roads. EVO magazine has taken the opportunity to show us this and for that we are truly grateful. Check out the video after the jump.
