Callaway Cars has released the details on it’s 2009 Callaway Corvette tuning package. Thecenterpieceof the offering is a supercharged engine putting out 580hp with a top speed north of 200 mph. This puts the tuned version’s performance above the stock 430hp 6.2-liter V8 CorvetteCoupe/Convertible and 505hp 7.0-liter V8 Z06 and just below the 638hp 6.2-liter V8 ZR1.
The price of the kit starts at $18,900 and includes an Eaton/Magnuson Root-style supercharger along with new high-flow fuel injectors, air/liquid intercooler and intake manifold. The 2009 Callaway Corvette also comes with “Supercharged” badges on the hood and rear panel. With a 0-to-60mph time of 3.5 seconds for the manual and 3.7 for the automatic, the car with keep pace with virtually any exotic on the market.
