Tag Heuer, in it’s ever expanding line-up of race inspired watches is introducing the SLR Calibre S Laptimer Chronograph in the November timeframe. It’s heritage should be no surprise. In 1955, when the first Mercedes SLR “Silver Arrow” was driven around the Mille Miglia by Formula One driver Juan Manuel Fangio, a Heuer (the name at the time) watch was on his wrist.
This is the first SLR watch from tag that is not limited edition. This doesn’t mean that you don’t get top notch features and functionality. It’s biggest claim to fame is the 1/100th of a second “flyback” chronograph. It also has built in memory keeping up to 20 laps of data including best lap time.
