2010 Audi R8 Pricing Announced for US – 2010 Audi V10 R8 to Start at $146,000
Audi has just announced 2010 model year pricing for their Audi R8 sports cars, some of which are actually starting to arrive at dealers right now. The highly anticipated 2010 Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro model has a base price of $146,000 and comes with a manual transmission. The R-tronic version with paddle-shifters and an automatic gearbox runs $155,100.
This model is better known on the street as the 2010 V10 R8 and uses the same 10-cylinder 525 hp engine found in the R8 LMS GT3 racecar (which, in turn, is derived from the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4). With 391 lb-ft of available torque, this car has a 0-60 mph time of only 3.7 seconds with a top speed of 196 mph.
That said, the V8 powered 2010 Audi R8 4.2 FSI Quattro model is no slouch and provides 420 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. This allows it to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 178 mph. The 4.2-liter R8 starts at $114,000 outfitted with the manual gearbox and jumps to $123,300 for the R-tronic automatic transmission. Surprisingly, both prices remain the same as last year.
